BB products, or beauty balms, have taken off like wildfire in the beauty industry. Like many new innovation, they appeared in the higher end lines first. Each promises different benefits (ie five in one, 10 in one, etc.) but essentially they are all a combo of skincare and cosmetics. I was impressed with offerings by Dr. Jart and Dior (definitely a splurge but an amazing product.) More and more BB creams have been popping up in the more affordable brands, so I was excited when SheSpeaks asked me to review L’Oreal’s Magic BB Cream.
Retail Price: $10.95
Pros: This makes a great primer – light and smooth but not greasy.
Cons: The fair did not show up on my skin at all. I am all about light, natural looking coverage but this was nonexistent. Also, I didn’t find it hydrating as promised.
Comments: This product promises four benefits in one – I really only thought one was effective – priming. I noticed no skincare, antiaging or concealing benefits. I don’t see myself buying it any time soon.
